DIVISION I - ROSES

  1. One specimen large flowered rose, red.
  2. One specimen large flowered rose, yellow.
  3. One specimen large flowered rose, any other colour.
  4. One vase, 3 large flowered roses, mixed.
  5. One vase, 3 large flowered roses, one variety only.
  6. One rose, any kind or colour, judged for scent only.
  7. One vase of 3 stems, miniature or patio.
  8. Three stems any cluster flowered rose, one or more varieties.
  9. Three stems any other rose (e.g. old fashioned, single etc.).
  10. A cycle of roses, one variety, 3 vases (bud, half open and full).
  11. A rose corsage, with rose foliage.
  12. One bowl of roses, using 7 blooms, judged for quality and effect (own foliage allowed).
  13. NOVICE CLASS 1 vase, two large flowered roses, any varieties.
  14. DIVISION II - SWEET PEAS

  15. 3 vases, 3 distinct varieties, 3 stems each vase.
  16. One specimen sweet pea.
  17. 1 vase, 3 stems, 1 variety, white or cream.
  18. 1 vase, 3 stems, 1 variety, red.
  19. 1 vase, 3 stems, 1 variety, pink.
  20. 1 vase, 3 stems, 1 variety, mauve, lavender or blue.
  21. 1 vase, 3 stems, 1 variety, magenta, maroon or purple.
  22. 1 vase, 3 stems, any other 1 variety, including multi-coloured.
  23. 1 vase, five stems, mixed varieties.
  24. An arrangement of sweet peas (max.15 stems) in any container, any foliage allowed.
  25. NOVICE CLASS - 1 vase, 5 stems, mixed varieties.
  26. DIVISION III - OTHER

  27. One vase of any one variety of flower (not a shrub).
  28. One vase of mixed flowers (8 stems)
  29. One vase of any flowering shrub of any one type.
  30. Six pansies.
  31. The best flower from my garden (1 stem, single bloom or multiple florets acceptable).
  32. *A Flowering Orchid
  33. *A flowering pot plant.
  34. *A foliage pot plant
  35. *1 pan cactus or succulent.
  36. * Please note that Rule 4 applies to the above 4 classes and all are subject to a max. 23cm (9") diameter pot.
  37. Three sticks rhubarb.
  38. Five pods broad beans.
  39. Five pods peas.
  40. Plate of four new potatoes.
  41. 1 head lettuce.
  42. Plate of any soft fruit, any one variety.
  43. A bonsai (max. height 60cm).
  44. DIVISION IV - FLORAL ART

  45. A Exhibit of Roses. Table space allowed - 60cm (24").
  46. 'Early Summer' - an exhibit to include sweet peas. Table space allowed - 60cm (24").
  47. DIVISION V - CHILDREN'S SECTION

    Child's age will be considered in judging
  48. An item of handicraft made from a kit
  49. Photo of wildlife (not mounted) Max size 13cm x 18cm (5"x 7")
  50. Your best handwriting: a nursery rhyme or poem
  51. 3 cupcakes, decorated.
  52. Maximum weight of potatoes grown in a bag from a seed potato supplied by us at the Spring Show.
  53. DIVISION VI - HANDICRAFT

  54. An article made from a hard material eg wood, metal, papier mache, ceramic, etc. (base not to exceed 46cm [18"]).
  55. A Photo: 'Reflections'
  56. An article made from a soft material eg wool, felt, fabric etc. (Max. size 60cm)

    DIVISION VII - COOKERY

  57. A fruit flan in a home-made pastry base
  58. A jar of jam, any flavour. 340-450g
  59. 4 cheese straws as you like them.
  60. A lemon drizzle cake.
  61. DIVISION VIII - SPECIALS

    Societies Class
  62. Local Horticultural Societies are invited to enter any 3 of the following 5 items as a society.
